Please pass the following information on to the teachers in your district:

The BYU Museum of Art is hosting an Evening for Educators next Wednesday, 16 February 2011 at 6:00 p.m. The focus of this evening will be “At War! The Changing Face of American War Illustration.” The evening will feature a panel discussion with exhibition curators Marian Wardle, Bethanne Andersen, and Kristen Matthews. Following this panel discussion breakout sessions will include gallery tours and hands-on art making workshops. Teachers will also be able to visit the magnificent Carl Bloch exhibition currently on display. The evening will culminate with delicious refreshments and networking opportunities!

This event is free and open to the public. A packet of lesson plans and images will be available for a donation of $5. As always, state credit is available. I have attached a flyer with more information and a map to the BYU Museum of Art.

The Evenings for Educators series is sponsored by the StateWide Art Partnership through the generous support of the Utah State Legislature, the Utah State Office of Education, the Utah Arts Council, and the National Endowment for the Arts. The Springville Museum of Art wishes to thank these organizations for their ongoing support of arts education in Utah.
